Well, technically, I never left. I was just a little tied up during the move to the new site. I'm actually surprised it was this fast. I was expecting it to be down until next week.

Ugh, that new forum smell. Quick, someone go get their dirty laundry and rub it all over the place. xD

But really, Lady, things are looking really good for the first day up and running. Going to take some getting use to again, not to mention means I gotta dig around for photos and think of new catchy things to label my profile with, but that aint so bad. :D

I'm a little confused with the current layout. I'm used to the Lurker's Lair being closer to the top, etc. It's good to be back and already seeing progress being made though. Hopefully before long, everything'll be in place and everyone else will come back, and it'll be like nothing happened.

I'm toying with having a general gallery for everyone's smaller images, just no screenshot sections except for the admins BUT you can upload images via the attachment system.  Might make it easier for digs and stuff.

And DA, I thought about the lair being so low on the page, I think I need to bring it out as its own section.

Ugh.
So yesterday and today my apartment complex has had workmen patching the front drive... and the only entrance into the complex.
Fine and dandy, didnt effect me any. Till now. I pulled in and saw they they 'installed' (if thats the right term for it) the speed bumps.
Not only did they place more of them, they are huge.

I get why they are there, but still... we dont need mountains.
I give it till the first heavy snowfall.... and some of them will be gone by then due to the plow trucks.  :default_evil:
Title: Re: Lurker's Lair

@Derotis...
I can relate, my neighborhood has those speed mountains scattered all over too. Are yours yellow and black striped like ours? Even though they do help with speeding, I still hate them. It takes forever to get out of the neighborhood onto the city streets.  :default_angry:

On a more positive note, I earned reward points at work and I redeemed it for an Amazon e-card. I just ordered a 9 inch collectible statue/figure of Rin Matsuoka from the Free! anime series. I can't wait!

Speed bumps are part of an article on Cracked about laws and stuff that are effectively useless. Speed bumps in particular only ensure you basically get in a wreck if you go too fast, and on top of that, ambulances have to deal with them too, and when an ambulance is having to rush, every second can mean all the difference for someone.

I got my code for GW2: PoF earlier. I'm ready when it goes live now.

The emoticons have become the faceless legion.

Well, got all the BS parts done in the post-game mount collection thing in GW2. That's a load off for me. Now I just need to find the crap around the maps and save up enough gold to get the rest from the merchants, and I'll be on the last stuff to get that mess done with.

I've been way more productive in-game since PoF released. Even outside the expansion maps, just having mounts makes it so much easier to get around in particular areas.

I doubt many will actually do what they should be doing - me included - though I won't be doing anything I shouldn't be doing.
Halloween is just a scam created by greedy merchants. It's All Hallows Eve - we should really be remembereing and honouring all our lost loved ones, not be fooling around in costumes begging for candy.

Preston's endless sidequests can be annoying, but there's a way to end them. Talk to him like normal to turn it in, and before he can switch dialogue to bring up another, get the Hell outta there. You'll complete whatever quest you were on without triggering another one.

The thing that sucked for me was the limited space and everything at Boston Airport. The place is setup as a barracks for some of the companions so that they're all in one place, but the fact that it can't be self-sufficient without cheating and all kinda ruined so much potential. I would've liked to turn the whole area into an outpost with more settlers outfitted to look like BOS troops.

I might be getting the GOTY edition, and if so, I'll probably overhaul the crap outta all my settlements with the extra stuff.

Awesome! I thought of you when I met with Lt Hayes in his tent near Primm the other day. It is so amazing coming back to fallout 3 and New Vegas after a long time away. Feels like coming home. Roaming the DC Wasteland or the Mojave also reminds me of a more optimistic time in my life when those games were released. Those were good times here at the HoT!
Well I'm getting ready to do it all over again!  I have a huge problem with the computer though.  We wanted to run the OS off a small SSD drive but there's where all the damn Sims stuff goes.  I don't know how to get the Sims off the main C drive totally.  I'm at my wits end!

So, other than finishing up a few things on my legacy sim, my main Sims 3 neighborhood is also full of scantily-clad women. Using the cheat stuff, I edited every young adult and adult female I could find, and altered their appearances, mainly their outfits. Now, all the women are walking around in everyday clothing that consists of barely more than a bikini.

Hey, if I'm gonna have paparazzi sims constantly hanging outside my door, they're gonna have to strut around for me in exchange, same with the rest of 'em.

Now, the neighborhood got a whole lot hotter.

No more broadcast TV! I changed providers, I only have internet now. I never really watched tv anymore anyway, I just used my tv to watch YouTube videos or DVDs/BluRays, and only very occasionally a recorded tv program that I can just as easily watch on YouTube. I do listen to the radio a lot so I'll need to get a digital tuner now.

My TV's usually just for background noise while I'm doing stuff online. I don't like things to be too quiet all the time.

My sleep's been messed up this week. The season change has made it where it's like I'm wanting to hibernate because it's actually cold for once since the past 3 years of perpetual spring-summer weather.

We're at that point also.  We have some time left on our plan for the TV but we've looked into other sources like Sling TV.  It's not quite there yet but we are slowly shopping around.  One thing I'll never give up is our FIOS.  I have been downloading games on Steam at 37+ megs!  That and my new computer isn't too shabby either! ;)

We had our work Christmas party on Friday. It's always good to get to talk to workmates outside of the work setting. Sadly though I got to chat a bit with a girl that started a few months ago and I've never talked much with other than the odd hi's and whatnot at work, and after that 1-on-1 time I think I'm more into her than anyone I've ever been interested in. I don't know if she's single but I guess the cute ones I like never are. Gord Dammit!...

On another note, I'm dying to do some Fallout stuff but can't get anything written down. Had some neat ideas for story about a young guy (that isn't the married-with-a-kid-Sole-Survivor) bouncing around my head today but now they've disappeared. I started my Commonwealth Vault-Boy fic a while ago but now can't get much further with it.

But since Riley only just left the frozen tomb of Vault 111, it's going to be some time until he finally meets either of these companions. That reminds me of a sorta alternate reality idea I had in mind. Basically, the world as it is now, but instead of money, sex is a universal currency all across the world. Like, there's still just normal sex, kinks and all, but it's also how you pay for things. Renting a place? Blow your landlord every month. Can you believe the price of gas these days? A gallon costs a 30 second handjob. Jeez. Good job on that business negotiation the other day. Whenever you want your bonus, just drop your pants and bend over the desk.

I recently install the Four-Play framework from LoversLab along with the animation packs for it, and also the extra plugins: Sex Em Up, Prostitution, Vanilla Fudge, and Autonomy. I removed Vanilla Fudge and Autonomy because, while they are great (Vanilla Fudge lets you use sex for speech checks and quest rewards, Autonomy lets NPC's bang each other), they are a tad too distracting from the Fallout gameplay. I'm very happy with Four-Play plus Sex Em Up and Prostitution. Many a time it's been a long day out there in the Commonwealth and my lad needs a good hard fuck to unwind!

So for the first night of my week off: Last night an awesome and super sexy dream turned into a chilling murder fest. And I really mean chilling. WTF! After that, all day today I've just been feeling a very special kind of 'off'. I haven't been able to get settled or relaxed and haven't been able to focus on anything all day long, though I so badly craved to write some smutty Fallout stuff for my delicious Vault-Boy. So, thanks to that it's been a long day of 'meh.. huh?.. eh.. bleh' in any kind of activity I tried to do, be it playing numerous different kinds of games or trying to get inspired for writing. That dream-turned-nightmare just left a bad mood in my subconscious. It never ceases to surprise me how one's dreams can affect the following day in such a strong way!

And now it's 6:20pm, so I just decided to get drunk and try and forget those memories that are more real than my own real memories...

I ended up playing a game where you're trapped in an amusement park with a small group of others, and the plot is kinda interesting but it's tied to the game mechanics and it doesn't make sense until you're pretty much at the end, which ruins the gameplay itself because the entire game up until then you're like, " WTF is this now? " like some bad acid trip, which is mildly ironic because there's an actual acid trip moment in the story.

It's a good concept but the setup killed the potential for it to be something greater than it was.

In years past, the nations of the world went to war over domination of the adult entertainment industry. The war lasted just a few short hours when they nuked themselves to Hell. Today, the people that survived are trying to make a living in the post-Apocalypse. Gangs roam the wastelands, descended from those who originally founded porn corporations before the war.

Bozo the Dickler is one such gang leader. He's a porn clown, using his cock like a spray flower as a way of marking someone as his bitch. He laid claim to a hooker that happened to be of interest to Throbb, the self-claimed king of the porn gangs. Throbb, angered by the gesture, has put a bounty out on Bozo, promising tons of bottlecaps to anyone that can bring him Bozo's severed cock. At the same time, Porker, the ruler of a territory known as Penthouse, wants them both to be forced to suck his dick as a show of his supremecy over all the porn gangs.

Meanwhile, a girl taken as a sex slave by a roaming band of slavers is trying to just get by, giving herself to anyone and everyone that will put her in her captor's good graces, while a brothel mistress is looking for new talent to keep her business booming and her sights set on the girl. It's a race between them as the girl's good behavior keeps upping her price while the brothel mistress is trying to beat the inflation.

Then, there's some crazy, jet-addicted junkie who keeps masturbating multiple times a day for no perceivable reason other than being whacked out on drugs.

I've been working on getting some emoticons into the gallery and in the forum.  I knew I'd be AWOL for a few weeks when I got the new computer.  I have some photos of it I'll be posting soon!

So last night I got a huge start on my new post-apocalyptic story but I got up this morning and everything just didn't feel right so I'm rewriting what I had. It was taking way too long to get my character to arrive at the survivor's community and get the lay of the land when by now he should be getting fucked by the beefy mechanic in the locker room!

Hell, I've started a few stories out in the middle of the juicy bits! :D

Might have to try that next time I start something. I have before when writing a purely smut story but always have trouble combining the smut with something that I want to also have a plot or something going on as a main focus. That's when I end up writing way too much story or character introduction before any sex happens and I get bored. Lol. it's always been a double-edged blade for me; it either goes too far to one side of the spectrum or the other and fizzles out.

Just can't quite get the orgy-to-story ratio right! :D

OMG yay emoticons! :P

You could always tie one to the other.

Bob was getting it hard up his ass from Joe, the local butcher. The man really knew how to handle his meat. It reminded Bob of when he was being pounded by incoming fire from a few raiders last week. The incoming bullets did a number on his armor before he was able to get behind cover, and the bruises were sore for the next few days afterwards, just like his ass will soon be sore, as Joe's relentless fucking showed no sign of stopping any time soon.

Oh, awesome DA! Damn, the last thing I need is more ideas! :D Already got too many projects going :D

I'm playing lots of different zombie games at the moment and after reinstalling Dead Island Riptide this morning I've got yet another story stuck in my head begging to get out. This one will have to be mostly focus on smut with a bit of zombie killing on the side. God damn it.

The zombie horde was outside. Bob could hear their moaning and attempts at clawing at the walls. It reminded him of the sounds the bed made when he was having sex with Joe, and that made him really horny. It had been a while, since they spent the last few days scavenging for supplies and fortifying their safe house.

While it's been pretty busy and I haven't had a lot of free time, I love the holidays and this time of year. :)

Recently at work, I won a 4K Smart UHDTV; which led us to pick up an Xbox One S on Black Friday so we could watch 4K Blu-rays. But of course we ended up picking a up a few games Mass Effect Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition. I'm not a very good gamer and stick to casual games (i.e. The Sims.). So, I'm pretty awful at both but the graphics are super pretty! LOL

Since it's super cold here today (-5 with wind chill), we're going to stay in for New Years and watch the ball drop on TV. I'm getting ready to make a couple different herb d'oeuvres with a kale salad and champange. :)

I hate when you can get through a game without having to grind really, but then later on, suddenly you hit a massive roadblock that requires shitloads of grinding to get through.

At least it's not too bad overall. It's more of a time thing than a difficulty thing.

The holiday specials aren't worth it anyways. You only get a 1 day pass to access them, so for all intents and purposes, they're just glorified demos.

Bit of a big lurk! Tired, drinking heavily, and need to vent...

The year kicked off with nothing but bullshit at work and in my head and there's been so much of it in the last four days it feels like It's actually been about four months. Of course we're early in but with my track record year after year I certainly know where things are going so I've made my most final decision. I'm taking tomorrow off work but I don't actually intend on going back at all. Been stuck there for about six years and I've gotten nowhere with my life; even my depression hasn't eased up with all that time wasted at a place I hate, doing a job I hate, making barely enough money to get by, while my proper job/career plans gradually went down the drain with every attempt to do something about reaching my goals.

It was a big mistake to begin another year there. I was going to leave and do a security course and also try to get my truck license at the start of this year since my security course was abruptly cancelled by the training company going into liquidation around my birthday last year after waiting so long to get into it which was particularly devastating. But then by the end of 2017 my financial situation wouldn't allow for me to begin 2018 with the 1k security course elsewhere and/or the 1-2k cost of truck driver training and license test.

I've well and truly had enough of the shit that I'm faced with at every moment of my life. SO my immediate future most likely involves heavy alcohol consumption until my bank account is empty and then driving my beloved Chrysler off a cliff :o

I'll give it a month...

Andy, do you have vocational schools?  In the schools here, some of them teach truck driver training and they are way cheaper than going to a private company.  Also, can you drive a manual?  If so, then just start applying to trucking companies and take it from there, some might even have training available within the company.  You're never put into the truck alone anyway, your first year is always a ride along.  Also, stop by the cold storages and apply to be lumper.  You get paid to load and unload trucks.  Get around trucks and you'll end up making connections.  And get off the damn alcohol.  You can't bitch about not having any money when you're drinking it away.  (That was me being LadyM MOM!)  If it's trucking you want to get into, then get around some trucks!  I love to see trucking in Australia, it's fascinating.  The huge rigs with huge trailers, big fun!

I liked Redneck Racing a bit, just because of the theme. The main guy is the same voice as Leonard from Redneck Rampage, even using some of the same lines.

AVGN's pretty good at going all-out with absurd comedy like that though. Some of the Christmas videos from past years are a good example, and he even started his own urban legend for an April Fools Day joke.

Except for being a lot colder than normal, it's pretty quiet and uneventful lately. I've tried playing Dragon Age: Inquistion; which has just confirmed that theory that I suck at real video games. LOL

When I 1st started the game way back, this is what happened.

I immediately turned on tgm.
I made it through the vault and into the wastleland.
I gave myself a shitload of experience to level up big time.
I gave myself a BoS officer suit, heavy combat armor, a ton of caps, and laser guns.

I don't wanna grind for things, so I just gave myself the stuff I wanted right off, so I could just get right into things.

The main thing I'm concerned with right now is whether or not I'm gonna need to do a massive overhaul on my settlements with new stuff.

I was surprised that most of the stuff I used before was still available.  I have added a few things and lots of updates but Really not bad.  Of course working with the sex mods is different but I am loving them!  That mod that allowed me to fix Gage’s face is a life saver, we fuck all the time.  You get affinity points to when you do.  I did find out more about the end of NW and I downloaded a few new mods to keep Gage.  I will eventually move to the reproduction mod from LL and try it with him.  I am playing this as 2 games, NW first and then Danse.  No Minutemen until the very end.  My first game I’ll go back to and do the BoS ending then go to Garvey, see how the game likes that!  I know I will have to kill the railroad but I won’t kill Garvey or destroy the Prydwynn.
Title: Re: Lurker's Lair
Post by: Darkened Angel on January 07, 2018, 09:36:50 PM
That's how I did my game. BoS side, and afterwards, Minutemen. The Minutemen quests end after you secure their new HQ, because at that point, there's no more storyline if you've already beaten the game.

My issue is, I secured several settlements and setup pretty complicated stuff, and I'm kinda wary of needing to overhaul things because that would take several days just on its own. I'd almost wanna just start over entirely, maybe not even bother with settlements except Sanctuary and use Boston Airport just for a customizable house area, since I'd still go the BoS route. Basically I'd do all the same things as before, just that I wouldn't take any extra settlements.

Either way, I'm looking at a lot of work, either overhauling things or starting over, and that kinda makes me not wanna do it and play other things instead for the time being.

I liked doing some defense tests with some setups where I'd spawn a bunch of feral ghouls and see all the settlers and defenses gun them down.

I tried other things, but any hostile with guns can mess up the turrets, which sucks. It's also how I found out that height didn't matter beyond the roof of a simple building. It doesn't matter if the turret is just on a raised platform or the 10th floor on a massive tower. The range is the same.

Yeah, I put the settlers in uniforms once I have them set so I can keep track of who I still need to mess with. I give them laser rifles that are pretty decent. The problem is, the ones working the crops will try to shoot hostiles through the crops and tear them up. That's why I like having turrets on the outer perimeters.

Of course, with the GotY version and all the expansion content, I can make use of the dirt patches that I can put inside buildings so they won't do that, which is part of that overhaul I'm not sure about. I have a bunch of settlements because I was in the process of trying to get everything and make a connected trade route between them all, but I dunno if it's worth redoing them or just better to start a new game entirely.
